The Nexus 6 is little more than a relic of the yesteryears. Released way back in 2014, the device was to stop receiving software updates back in 2016. Google still managed to eke out an update or two for the device, and today it received a somewhat random software update. As far as the actual contents of the update go, it changes nothing, and the changelog for it is empty. The build number remains has been updated to N8I11, but the device is still on the October security patch. Some Reddit users started receiving the update a few days ago, the size of which ranged between 344 and 917MB. The update could be for T-Mobile users, as several devices were still stuck on Android 7.0.0, thanks to Google’s fiasco last year.
