Earlier today the senate passed the so-called “net-neutrality” bill that would reverse recent changes to the FCC’s net rules. Unfortunately, while the issue of net neutrality has been presented as a populist versus corporatist battle, it’s really just a one-party push that will allow the government further control of private industry and hamstring the need for new businesses.

Put simply: The ideals and legislation of net neutrality are many things, but neutral isn’t one of them. So here are just three socio-economic reasons why net neutrality in its present form is a pretty stupid concept.
