The UK may issue a formal summons to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg that would require him to appear in front of British politicians the next time he enters the country, according to a letter sent to the company Tuesday.

Facebook Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer "failed to answer fully" 39 questions when he appeared before Parliament last week, according to the letter from the Parliament's Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee. As a result, lawmakers are requesting the presence of the company's boss. Schroepfer attended the session in London to give evidence to Parliament's Digital Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) Committee as part of its inquiry into fake news in the place of the Facebook CEO.
