Electronic Arts knows it has an image problem, and the company's new chief design officer, Patrick Söderlund, is trying to fix it. That's why the company has been so dedicated to revamping Star Wars Battlefront II.

The game wound up being one of the most infamous releases of 2017. What was supposed to be an unmitigated success for EA turned into a critical and financial disappointment. Not only was Star Wars Battlefront II set up to ride off the impending release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it offered everything fans could want from a Battlefront sequel: tweaked space combat, more game modes and, most importantly, a real single-player campaign.
