Adult dorms in Silicon Valley? Maybe the millennials were right

This week, The New York Times profiled Starcity, a company buying huge properties in San Francisco. Starcity turns big ol' buildings into adult dormitories, where the non-techies of the city, unable to afford property thanks to the uber-talented jerks of Silicon Valley, share common areas.
The idea's proven a hit, with three buildings sold out and over 8,000 on the waiting list, according to the publication. Its residents earn between $40,000 and $90,000 a year (£29,000 - £65,000 or AU$51,000 - AU$115,000,), while the average home costs $1.5 million (£1.1 million, AU$1.9 million ) in San Francisco. It's little wonder the enterprise is a success.
