Apple shredding its iPhone 8 production in half is a result of how poorly this and the iPhone 8 Plus have been performing in comparison to previous-gen models. A new report has now concluded that the iPhone 8 and the ‘Plus’ variant have been selling worse than the ‘s’ model.

According to CIRP’s latest report, the iPhone 8 and its larger brother are actually selling worse than the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models. Both of the latest devices accounted for just 16 percent of all iPhone sales, against a 24 percentage figure for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
