After receiving substantial backlash for the blue shift issue on the Pixel 2 XL smartphones, Google has finally come out with a statement. The Pixel 2 XL features the LG-made P-OLED display which seems to be plagued with several issues, right from poor viewing angles to shift in colour – from tint to blue – when you tilt the phone to the left or right. The change is pretty noticeable and annoying for the users.

However, for Google, it does not seem like an issue. The company recently revealed that it will be bringing some changes to the Pixel 2 XL to fix screen burn-in and help with colours. Apparently, the company did not say much about the blue shift. In its latest statement, Google states that the blue shift is not an issue at all, in fact, it is inherent in the display hardware.
