With the iPhone X, Huawei Mate 10 and Pixel 2 all featuring AI abilities this could be the next big thing in phones, and it doesn’t sound like Samsung plans to be left behind, as there’s evidence that the Exynos 9810 chipset likely to be packed into most models of the Samsung Galaxy S9 will have its own neural engine for AI tasks.

That theory is based on a report from The Investor, which claims Samsung has made a “significant investment” in Chinese artificial intelligence company DeePhi Tech.
