iPhone 8 Production Has Been Severed in Half Due to Poor Demand – iPhone X Anticipation Responsible?

It is a matter of perspective, as the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus could be seen as a blessing or curse for Apple, with the production of both these devices being cut by half thanks to poor demand of both these mobile phones. One of the reasons can also be that consumers are waiting for the arrival of the iPhone X and are willing to pay top dollar for it.
With users not seeing enough differentiation between iPhone 8 and iPhone 7, Apple has decided to cut production by 50 percent. This slump in demand could very well be due to a high anticipation of the iPhone X, which costs a whopping $999 for the base model. Considering that the iPhone 8 costs $699, spending money on it while missing out on exclusive features is not something that consumers would want to embark on.
