Today, Instagram has seen fit to add a new feature to its main app on iOS. Previously, Apple notified developers that applications that offer account creation must offer an account deletion option starting June 30, 2022. It seems Instagram took its sweet time and brought the feature to users on the very last day. Apple's guidelines also suggest that developers must make it easier for users to find the account deletion options. In addition, the company also emphasized that it is insufficient for an app to offer temporary deactivation of an account. The account must be deleted along with all personal details of the user.
