Qualcomm took its sweet time in bringing its flagship ARM-based notebook silicon, the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, to consumer products. Despite touting various improvements over the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2, the latest SoC continues to lag behind Apple’s newly announced M2. Let us see how vast those differences are.

The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 currently only powers the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, a $1,200 ARM notebook that runs Windows. Likely due to the lack of availability of the chipset, Lenovo could not bring the ThinkPad X13s faster to the market, but now that it is here, one Twitter user with the handle SkyJuice shared how fast the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 actually is.
