Tech & Science
Apple The Studio Display is a brand-new 27-inch 5K monitor from Apple. It has a built-in 12 megapixel ultrawide camera with Center Stage as well as six speakers and a three-microphone array. To power those built-in features, there's an A13 Bionic processor. It's not the most technically impressive screen on the market, but for users, or potential buyers, of Mac computers the presence of this monitor is a big deal.
The last time Apple sold a stand-alone 27-inch monitor was back in 2016, when it discontinued its Thunderbolt Display and stopped making dedicated computer monitors altogether. The company was going to let other manufacturers cover that market. That solution never really satisfied customers looking for Apple's attention to detail—and integration.
