The Pixel 2 XL is expected to be manufactured by LG since Google wants a company with a better standing in the smartphone market than HTC, who is currently working on the smaller Pixel. According to an FCC filing, the Pixel 2 XL is indeed going to be manufactured by the Korean company, meaning that there are a lot of exciting things to look forward to during the official announcement day.

Unlike HTC, LG has done a pretty good job concealing the numbers and other details of the Pixel 2 XL. Previous leaks of the smaller Pixel 2 detailed that the smartphone would have a 4.97-inch 1080p OLED screen, but it will retain the same number of bezels as its predecessors, which will be seen as a huge setback because we were hoping that Google and HTC would follow the same smartphone design language that is trending in 2017.
