It appears that AMD has released their ROCm 5.0, which is to enhance the Radeon Open eCosystem further. ROCm is AMD's open software platform entitling researchers to access crucial AMD Instinct accelerators to push more scientific findings. The Radeon ROCm platform is created based on available portability, supporting environments across numerous accelerator agents and architectures.

AMD expands its platform powering leading HPC and AI applications with AMD Instinct MI200 series accelerators, extending support and accessibility of ROCm for developers and delivering unprecedented performance across critical workloads. Offering new support for Radeon Pro V620 and Radeon Pro W6800 workstation graphics cards, ROCm 5.0 initializes AMD's RDNA2-based graphics cards as the first to be supported by the open-source computing software stack for graphic processors. This new platform update from AMD adds support for certain Navi 2x and RDNA2 GPU support areas.
