She works on Mechanical Turk (MTurk), an Amazon-owned crowdsourcing website that allows businesses to hire workers to perform various tasks for compensation. Many of these tasks, Kauffman says, have been training AI projects. > “In the past, we've worked on several large AI projects. So there are tasks where people just need to simply repeat the same phrase six times, so it's training AI to recognize different voices and things,” Kauffman told Motherboard. “So I kind of get to do a little bit of everything, but there is definitely a lot of machine learning, AI data labeling out there right now. We've been seeing an increase in those requesters that are listing the work.”
