Russian modder, VIK-on, has once again showcased his modding expertise by confirming that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti can support up to 22 GB GDDR6 memory. Originally launched with 11 GB GDDR6 memory, the modder confirms that with mods, the card can physically support twice the memory capacity.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti has been replaced by the GeForce RTX 3090 and we will also be getting the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti soon. The Turing TU102 GPU graphics card launched in 2018 and featured 11 GB GDDR6 memory. Surprisingly, its real successor, the 3080 Ti, will only feature 1 GB higher memory capacity (12 GB GDDR6X) which doesn't sound like a huge upgrade while the RTX 3090 would retain the highest memory capacity of 24 GB.
