YouTube users took to Twitter to complain the site was not working on Monday morning, using the hashtag #YouTubeDown.

According to the website Downdetector, where people can report issues with websites, users reports indicated there were problems with the website that is owned by Google. The website stated there was a spike in reports, at over 13,500, at 7:38 a.m. ET. Some 48 percent of reports related to watching videos, 45 percent to the website, and 5 percent to login in.
