NASA is set to launch the $981 million Lucy mission on Saturday, the first in a series of spacecraft that will visit asteroids in the solar system.

The Lucy mission will be the first to visit Jupiter's so-called Trojan entourage of eight asteroids over the course of 12 years. Lucy aims to pass seven of the countless Trojan asteroids and then trail Jupiter as it orbits the sun.
