There's a very good chance the iPhone 8 and iPhone X launch won't include Qualcomm, Apple's business-partner-turned-legal-opponent in 2017.

It makes the modem chips in some versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7S Plus, but now it's just making (and throwing) shade at Apple for its lack of innovation.
