Samsung sadly sings of memory, all alone in the moonlight, as downturn slashes profits by 56%

Samsung Electronics profits shrivelled up in the third quarter of 2019 thanks to the ongoing memory market downturn.
For the three months ended 30 September 2019, Samsung revenues dipped 5.3 per cent year-on-year to ₩62 trillion (£41bn), but operating profit plummeted 56 per cent to ₩7.78 trillion (£5.14bn).
