The very public spat between Google and Amazon appears to be coming to an end, much to the relief of end-users. Amazon’s refusal to stock Google Products on its marketplace prompted Google to pull the YouTube app from all Fire TV devices. The main YouTube app made its way to Fire TV devices last month, and today, it’s YouTube TV’s turn. Amazon announced in a blog post that the YouTube TV app would be available on select Fire TV devices that are listed as follows:
Unfortunately, the app is not compatible with Fire TV Stick (1st Gen) and Fire TV (1st Gen). It is unclear if they’ll get support at a later time, but this is a good start. The YouTube TV app is available to customers living in the US only. It is unlikely to be available in other regions as the service is US-only for now.
