Huawei, the Chinese technology company, has announced a rise in revenue in the first half of 2019 despite trading restrictions placed on it by the United States.

The US Commerce Department added Huawei to its “entity list” in May – a move which banned the company from acquiring technology from American firms without securing government approval, while also preventing American businesses from selling Huawei software components without a license.
