There’s a hole in AMD’s bucket and it has leaked the gaming performance of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT as well as a few more details regarding the card itself. The leak itself was brought to light by our friends over at Videocardz but was sourced from twitter user @SpartanGeek who was more than happy to share the slide that is from the upcoming presentation at the E3 showcase Next Horizon Gaming. With only hours to go before we get the full reveal let us dig into the new information.
The performance showcases the Radeon RX 5700 XT easily taking on the RTX 2070 in 1440p gaming which should be the target for the GPU that is poised to replace the current Radeon Vega lineup. Details are lacking in test systems but it does state that the performance shown was from either card’s best-performing API, which should level the field a bit. We aren’t sure if the RTX 2070 being compared to is using the reference clocks, which are lower than that of the Founder’s Edition, or the Founder’s Edition clock rates.
