Security is an integral component of today’s smartphones. Given the amount of personal data that our gadgets host, ensuring that only the right person can access them is critically important.  Additionally, as manufacturers integrate financial transactions into the smartphone ecosystem, privacy and security have taken an entirely new dimension. Which is why it’s always disconcerting to see high-end gadgets have their security systems beaten easily. After we reported a 16-minute hack for the Galaxy S10, now it’s the OnePlus 7 Pro’s turn. Take a look below for more details.

While the Galaxy S10 hack shared above could easily be used for nefarious purposes, it’s going to be slightly difficult with the OnePlus 7 Pro. The S10’s hack involved taking a photograph of a fingerprint image left on a transparent surface, and then 3D printing this image. To breach the OnePlus 7 Pro’s security though, you’ll have to make sure that a replica of the fingerprint that’s stored inside the device is created by making an impression of it in glue spread out on a sheet of aluminum.
