AORUS has unveiled its new flagship X299G motherboards for the next-generation Core X HEDT CPU lineup that is coming this fall. The new motherboards are expected to launch a bit earlier than the new Core X series around August or September but will be fully capable to support the enhanced Intel HEDT CPUs.

Update: Gigabyte contacted us to confirm that the X299G naming scheme will be the final naming scheme for the upcoming motherboards and the X499 logos and naming was a placeholder since Intel updated board partners very recently. The ‘G’ at the end is to differentiate the lineup from the existing X299 parts but will use the same chipset, so nothing significant has changed.
