Uber and Lyft drivers with the ride-sharing companies went on strike Wednesday morning across the country in favor of higher wages. The coordinated strike from coast to coast was scheduled for two days before Uber was expected to go public on the New York Stock Exchange.
The drivers who say they struggle to make ends meet are going on strike to bring attention to the wages they earn. When the company goes public some executives could end up with billions of dollars worth of stock in the company.
