The EHT is a global collaboration that turned radio telescopes around the globe into a single gigantic telescope that would allow us to see black holes like this one. Look at how beautiful this image is!

The image that you are look at is of a supermassive black hole, some 55 million light years away. It is at the center of an elliptical galaxy called the M87. We now know for sure that supermassive black holes exist and there are now images to prove it.
