Proposed solar array gets thumbs down from town

HOPKINTON, R.I. (AP) — Hopkinton's planning board has given the thumbs down to a proposed solar array in town at the site of a former automobile salvage yard.
The Comolli Granite Company and Centrica Business Solutions seeks to amend the comprehensive plan and zoning ordinance from residential to commercial for the construction of a ground-mounted solar array on the 39-acre brownfield site, The Sun of Westerly reported.
