After months of speculation, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus is official and serves as the faster variant to the Snapdragon 865 that was unveiled back in December 2019. Apart from the increase in CPU and GPU clock speeds, there are additional features courtesy of Qualcomm, so let us take a look at those in more detail.

Like rumors were suggesting, the Snapdragon 865 Plus is the first SoC from Qualcomm to deliver a breakthrough of the 3.00GHz speed barrier. The chipset’s Kryo 585 Prime core is now running at 3.10GHz instead of 2.84GHz on the Snapdragon 865, while the other cores’ frequencies remain consistent with one another. In addition to the CPU, the Snapdragon 865 Plus also boasts 10 percent faster graphics rendering compared to the Snapdragon 865’s GPU.
