The future of the UK’s contact-tracing app has been thrown into doubt after a minister admitted the project would not go live until winter at the earliest.
The announcement comes just weeks after another minister claimed the app, which had once been marketed as a central part of the UK’s contact-tracing system, would be ready for the end of June. It had initially been slated for mid-May.
