At its World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) yesterday, Cupertino tech giant Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) confirmed its plans to shift away from x86-based central processing units manufactured by Intel Corporation to custom designs that utilize RISC-V microarchitecture laid out by British house Arm for its macOS products.
