HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — An inmate at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center in Uncasville has become the first prisoner in Connecticut to be diagnosed with COVID-19, the state Department of Correction announced Monday.
It said the 32-year-old has been in isolation since first developing symptoms on Thursday. Once the test results came back, the inmate was moved to a negative pressure isolation room, which allows for air to flow in, but not escape, according to the department.
