Cabinet secretary Michael Gove dismissed conspiracy theories linking 5G to Covid-19 as “dangerous nonsense” at a Downing Street coronavirus briefing on Saturday.

NHS England’s national medical director Professor Stephen Powis also waded in, denouncing them as “complete and utter rubbish”, and stressing, “it’s the worst kind of fake news”.
