As the launch of notebooks based on AMD's Ryzen 4000 CPUs comes close, more details and benchmarks have started appearing for various chips. The latest benchmarks include the Ryzen 7 4800HS which is going to be the fastest high-end mobility chip at launch while details for the Ryzen 9 4900U have surfaced in a product showcase by Lenovo.

The AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS is expected to be the fastest mobility processor in the Renoir family. While there have been hints of an even higher tier chip, the Ryzen 9 4900H, it looks like that chip has not been officially announced yet. The AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS is actually pretty similar to the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with the difference being that the HS is a highly binned variant featuring a total TDP of 35W while the H variant features a 45W TDP. The Ryzen 7 4800HS retains the same base and boost clock but the higher bin allows it to sustain better clock speeds.
