Hyliion (NYSE: HYLN), the company that manufactures electrified powertrains and hybrid suspension systems for Class 8 trucks, is on the radar of investors today as it gears up to announce its earnings for the third quarter of 2020.
Of course, today’s earnings come after a brutal rout in the stock market following Hyliion’s merger with the Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), Tortoise Acquisition, in early October. While Hyliion’s share price has recovered from the lows, it is still down around 58 percent from the pre-merger all-time high share price of $55.85, registered on the 2nd of September by Tortoise Acquisition shares serving as a proxy for Hyliion.
