Huawei might continue to gain the lead against Apple when it comes to being the largest smartphone across the globe, the California giant did well in its home turf, which coincidentally is also one of the most lucrative markets in the world for mobile phones. Apple’s rising profits are not just because of its high average selling prices, it’s also because of strong sales in the U.S., Japan, and China.

According to the latest report from Kantar Worldpanel, good reception of the newer iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max and continued interest in older models have resulted in an increase of 5 percent in the market share of iOS in the U.S. However, a 39.7 percent market share is still less than that of Android, which continues to reign supreme, considering how many OEMs use Google’s mobile OS.
