Microsoft Hits Pause on Windows 10 October 2018 Update Rollout Due to Missing Files Issue

Several users have reported losing their data after updating to the latest Windows 10 version. Microsoft had said that it was actively investigating the issue. It now appears that the company couldn’t fix the issue and has decided to pull the Windows 10 October 2018 Update.
Until the problem is under investigation, Windows 10 October 2018 Update will no longer be available for download. On its support page, Microsoft writes:
