This is the latest instalment in an exclusive series analysing the UK’s biggest public sector tech deals. In partnership with data analysis firm Tussell, we drill down into the top five most valuable tenders and awards from the previous week, and take stock of which tech firms have won the biggest share of the public sector pie.

Earlier this year, Portsmouth City Council was named as one of the 13 winners of a new government scheme aimed at accelerating the adoption of full-fibre broadband across the UK. Now, the local authority is inviting suppliers to apply to help deliver the rollout. The project will be managed through an £80m framework, featuring two lots: dark fibre connectivity and virtual dark fibre connectivity. Suppliers have until 29 October to apply.
