Even though we are a good four months away from 2019, OnePlus seems to have a goal ready for the first month of next year. After a brief gig with a mid-range smartphone called the OnePlus X, the company announced that it will solely concentrate on flagships. In the summer of 2016, the company revealed the OnePlus 3 followed by the release of the 3T variant in fall, with the release of the OnePlus 5 and 5T variant following the same pattern in 2017. In May this year, the company released the OnePlus 6 which means we might see the OnePlus 6T very soon.

Per the release timeline of the company, it is hard to say what it is planning to launch in January. The company took to its Weibo page to announce that it has a new goal for January 5, 2019, with an image of a OnePlus 6 unit to go with it. It is a bit too early for the company to ask us to mark our calendars and it could be an indication that the company is planning something grand.
