While Huawei has been quick to adopt most of the latest industry trends, its flagship phones have sported Full HD and Full HD+ screens up until now. This made their offerings pale in terms of aesthetics when compared to other premium smartphones, although they contributed in terms of battery life. However, it seems the release of the Mate series will mark a transition from Full HD to QHD+, with the Mate 20 Pro receiving the honour of becoming the first flagship from the Chinese giant to feature the aforementioned resolution.
According to code found on Huawei’s own website, the Mate 20 Pro will have a resolution of 3,120 x 1,440. This means it will have a QHD+ display with a notch. This gels well with the rumours that hinted an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and also indicates that the pixel density would be 498 PPI.
