Nearly a month ago, market research firm IDC declared Huawei as the second-biggest smartphone market in Q2 2018 and now the research firm Gartner has also confirmed that Huawei has pushed Apple to the number 3 spot.

Garter has reported that the overall sales of smartphones to end users reached 374 million units in the quarter after a 2 percent increase. Huawei managed to sell 49.8 million devices, earning itself a market share of 13.3 percent, up 3.5 percent from the same period last year, while Apple’s market share decreased from 12.1 percent in Q2 2017 to 11.9 percent. The Cupertino giant managed to sell 44.7 million iPhones.
