Apple Inc. today became the first publicly listed US company valued at $1 trillion.

The Cupertino company saw its stock surge nearly six percent yesterday after reporting better than expected earnings over the last quarter. Gains continued through Thursday where – cue the fanfare – Apple’s stock broke the magic number ($207.04 per share).
