HARTFORD - The state on Wednesday granted $6.9 million for repairs to the Barnum Museum in Bridgeport, and another $1.9 million for the city’s Discovery Museum.

The State Bond Commission also provided funding for expanding the Port of New Haven and improving Stern Village in Trumbull. Another $2 million went to Stratford for improvements to Veterans Park and $2.1 million to improve the South End Community Center.
