Fortnite is a relatively resource-heavy game, even on PCs. While you can run it on the lowest settings and still get a somewhat acceptable frame rate, you lose a lot of the game’s immersive experience that way. Fortnite has been out on iOS for a while and it doesn’t support a lot of older Apple devices such as the iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus; iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3 and iPod Touch. The Android version of the game is expected to release sometime next month alongside the Galaxy Note 9. XDA Developers managed to get a list of all devices that you can run Fortnite on. Here it is:
The list is missing some big names such as the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, the Essential Phone and the LG G7 Thinq. The devices are more than capable of running Fortnite and should ideally make it to a revised version of the list. Judging by the phones on the list, the minimum specifications for Fortnite Mobile on Android seem to be having a CPU on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, MediaTek MT6737, Exynos 7870, or HiSilicon Kirin 655 and an Adreno 505 and Mali-T720 for the GPU along with 3GB of RAM. The above list is incomplete and more device will be likely added to it after Epic Games concludes its beta tests. If you’re running a new device such as the Nokia X5 that isn’t on the list, the chances are that you’ll be able to run Fortnite without any problems.
