We first got to see Samsung Good Lock all the way back in 2016 with Android Marshmallow. The app since disappeared and made a comeback last month, when Samsung re-released it for the Galaxy S8/S9 running Android Oreo. Good Lock also got a major software update which addressed several issues that the initial release had. Good Lock offers a wide range of customization options and one of them is “One Hand Operation +”. It was updated a few days ago with new edge gestures to help make life easier when using the phone with one hand.

One-Handed Mode is helpful for people with small hands and a large smartphone. It takes the UI on the screen and shrinks it down to a smaller window. The feature has been around on Samsung and other devices since Android Marshmallow. What sets One Hand Operation + from others it that it includes swipe gestures for the edge of the screen via Good Lock. One Hand Operation + adds a new area on the sides of the phone that allow the user to swipe in from one of three directions to complete some tasks. This allows you to use these gestures instead of the navbar to aid in navigation.
