The hacking group responsible for targeting political entities during the 2016 U.S. presidential election have already attempted to target staffers linked to three candidates standing for election in the midterms later this year, a Microsoft executive warned on Thursday.
This first known case of hacking activity with the midterms in the crosshairs was revealed by Tom Burt, Microsoft's vice president for customer security and trust, at the Aspen Security Forum.
