The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is going to be unveiled in a few weeks but that does not mean the rumors will stop flowing. Sometimes, all it takes is an interesting leak to come forth and gives us a whole new perspective on what to expect from the smartphone. This time, it is reportedly the benchmarking results of the Exynos 9820, which is Samsung’s in-house SoC for flagship smartphones. It has apparently beaten the Apple’s A11 Bionic in the latest benchmarking tests, which just goes to how far Samsung might have come in the custom silicon production race.
A recently leaked benchmark of the retail unit has leaked on the internet. It scored very well, marking impressive results and giving readers a lot of hope when it comes to the performance of the Galaxy Note 9. The model number is SM-N960X, which is presumably the unlocked variant that Samsung sells on its online store in the U.S., which would explain why the device is armed with an Exynos 9820. The unit scored 12,246 points in the multi-core tests and clocked 40,89 points in the single-core test.
