Lake Havasu Unified School District has spent more than two-thirds of the first portion of bond funding it has received as a result of a November 2016 ballot question that voters overwhelmingly supported.
More than 13,000 voters approved a $49 million bond. Bond issuances will be broken up into three-year chunks – 2017, 2020 and 2023 – and will be spent on improvements to four main categories: maintenance, transportation, technology and athletics.
