Microsoft is starting to accept preorders for its new $99.99 Xbox Adaptive Controller, with orders expected to ship on August 3rd. The new Adaptive Controller is designed for people with disabilities, and has two large programmable buttons and 19 jacks that can be connected to peripherals like joysticks, buttons, and switches to make Xbox and Windows 10 games far more accessible. Microsoft first unveiled the controller last month, promising to ship it later this year.
Preorders are now live in the US and UK through Microsoft’s online store. Microsoft says the Xbox Adaptive Controller will be available in September, presumably at other stores, and that online orders should ship by the fall. Current preorders are showing a date of August 3rd.
