Rumour mills have been spewing out various reports regarding Sony’s upcoming flagship, the Xperia XZ4 lately and it is being speculated that the phone will see the light of the day at the Mobile World Congress which will take place later this month. Recently, the company filed a trademark with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for ‘CinemaWide’. This can mean that customers will be treated to a high-quality display or maybe something else?

The ‘CinemaWide’ trademark is classified as Class 9 which is a general class which covers various devices such as smartphones, tablets, and displays. The trademark was filed on February 4 and since the MWC trade show is just around the corner, it might be referring to the display of the Sony Xperia XZ4. Per past reports, the phone is expected to come with an extra tall 6.5-inch HDR OLED display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a QHD+ resolution of 3360 × 1440 pixels.
